ABOUT US

Aero Project Consultants (APC) provides advice to airlines, small operators, government agencies, regulatory authorities and companies that require unique aviation solutions, in all aspects of the aviation industry.

APC's methodologies are based on those commercial and financial imperatives that drive all businesses; the end results of our endeavours are therefore strongly focussed on maximising our clients' productivity. Concurrently however, we are of the firm belief that a good safety culture in aviation is one which ultimately achieves the most success, and safety is high on our list of priorities. APC combines operational, managerial, and financial experience to provide real-world practical solutions to problems which can often be perceived as complex, and sometimes even overwhelming. Let us know what your problems are - we can probably help.

As aviation consultants, APC's people come from technically, and managerially diverse areas.

Theo Valerio

With around 8,000 hours of flying experience, Theo Valerio holds an ATPL, with a Class 1 Instrument Rating, and has flown for companies such as Loganair and Britannia. He has extensive managerial experience in niche market cargo operations and the procurement of large aerial fire-fighting systems. Theo has been heavily involved in the preparation of technical documents, including operational, and maintenance systems, AOC documentation and training manuals, and manufacturing, and workshop approvals. Additionally, Theo has a sound engineering background, and has recently been responsible for the design, and the subsequent technical drawings of a fire suppressant tank for a large aerial fire tanker, the Lockheed P2V-7. Furthermore, Theo holds the building rights of a new free-span hangar that was built for Bond Corp. He designed the structure himself, and supervised the entire construction sequence.

Steve Payne

With a degree in Science from Curtin University of Technology, Steve Payne formed a partnership with Theo in late 1990. From humble beginnings, with no other aeronautical experience than a Private Pilot's License, Steve's research and IT background slowly metamorphosed into a career in aviation. Steve now holds a Graduate Diploma in Aviation Transportation Management (ATM) from Swinburne University in Melbourne, in the areas of aviation human resources, aviation regulatory issues, and aircraft procurement. He is currently working towards a Master's Degree in ATM. Having worked for 10 years in his own IT business, Steve brings a complementary range of skills to APC, including accounting and financial modelling, fleet financing and leasing, and flight costing and project management
Tony Morris

Tony Morris has over 20 years experience in both the military, and civil sectors of aviation. He has over 6500 flight hours as a pilot, test pilot, safety/accident investigator, flying operations manager, and as a regulatory agency pilot. In 1990, he was selected to attend the Empire Test Pilot's School at Bascombe Down in the U.K., and was subsequently awarded the McKenna Trophy as dux of the course.
